Default Invinca Mountain Running Guide

Out of Date, Take this link for my most up to date guide:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...34#post1439334

Invinca monk farming is one of my favorite methods to make money. Eventually I saw a 55hp monk running to Warcamp. After I saw this I decided to invent my own strategy for these runs. Here it is…

Armor:
You will need Tattoo Armor. This is not needed just recommended. Any armor will do, but tattoo monk armor is the best because gives the most energy! Each piece of your armor should have A sup rune on it. Because there are only 4 sup runes opposed to the 5 pieces of armor your going to have to have two of anyone sup rune so that you reach the minimum health.

Items:
-50hp focus item
-One handed weapon with a 20% enchant mod
-20 health focus (optional)

Profession: For the following three runs you should be a Monk/Warrior.

Intro:
There are three different major runs for 55hp monks in the mountains. This guide will teach you how to run to Warcamp, Citadel, and Copperhammer. Each of these places is hard to run to, copper hammer probably being the hardest. Here are my builds and instructions for each run. Enjoy!

Stacking Enchantments:
Some of the creatures you’ll encounter remove enchantments, but only the enchantment on the top of your stack. So to keep them from removing protective spirit you’ll have to cover it up. The best skill to do this with is Healing breeze because it casts decently fast, recharges fast, and is something you can live without for a short amount of time. So here’s how to stack your enchantments on you so you don’t die from no Protective Spirit on yourself.
When you look in the upper right corner of your screen (If you’re using the default screen layout) you’ll see what conditions, hexs, stances, Shouts, and enchantments are on you. When you place an enchantment on your self that skills symbol appears in that corner of the screen. The oldest enchantment placed on you will be at the bottom of the stack (or will be the one to the left). The newest one placed on you will go on the top of the stack. Here’s an example below…

Now, whenever you recast an enchantment on your self it will go to the top of the stack again. There for when you recast Protective spirit it’ll go to the top of the stack and be in danger of removal so you’ll have to quickly recast healing breeze.

To accomplish a stack first cast all your enchantments that require upkeep. Then cast Protective spirit, and then healing breeze. It should look like the picture I gave above.

The Three Run Guides

Granite Citadel Run:

Attributes:
Healing Prayers- 13
Smiting Prayers- 10
Protection Prayers- 13
Divine Favor- 13

Skills:
Healing breeze
Protective spirit
Blessed Signet
Spell Breaker
Rush
Blessed Aura
Balthazars Spirit
Mending

Map:
http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/ima...b53d32bd0d.jpg

How to:
As soon as you exit Warcamp put on your three upkeep enchantments. Then use blessed signet to help you get to maximum energy. Run forward, you will see a fork in the ground in front of you. Take the Right.

Now put on Protective spirit and Healing breeze and begin to run through the Stone Summit that are there. For this part you can try not to aggro them if you wish. It doesn’t matter if they do see you though, it’s just easier to get through them if they don't see you. If they do see you they will probably remove Healing breeze. Recast it right away. As soon as you can use Rush to get away from them. You don’t need Spellbreaker yet.

You will quickly come to a choke point in front of you. Keep going recasting protective spirit and healing breeze as needed. You may also need to use blessed signet once and a while. On the other side of this choke point there will be lots of creatures that knock down (via Giant Stomp) and use walking hexs on you. Run into them all. They will quickly place hexs on you that will force you to walk. Keep walking forward and as soon as the walking hex(s) are about to come off you cast Spellbreaker. Now they can’t recast these hexs on you. Activate Rush and get out of there! They will not knock you down as you run away because giant stomp is an Aoe skill and your not exactly going to be standing right next to them. They’ll soon stop following you. Now you’ll run into another group of them. Repeat the process and the portal will be almost right in front of you. You’ll think your homeward bound, but be careful. The Stone Summit in front of the portal still remove enchantments. So be sure to recast Healing Breeze when they remove it and keep Protective Spirit from the top of the stack(maybe even wait for spellbreaker to recharge, they are quite annoying)!

Now as soon as you zone through the portal you’ll see a large mass of Ice Golem’s in front of you. Have your whole party (including you) run into them and get killed. You’ll all be resurrected at a shrine in front of the portal to Granite citadel. Run through it, no creatures will be in your way. You will have just completed a run to Granite Citadel.

Warcamp run:

Attributes:
Healing Prayers-13
Smiting Prayers-11
Protection Prayers-10
Divine Favor-14

Skills:
Protective Spirit
Healing Breeze
Rush
Sprint
Spell Breaker
Balthazars Spirit
Mending

Map:
http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/ima...078d53b90e.jpg

How to:
You’ll be exiting Camp Rankor through the north Portal for this run. As soon as you do put on Balthazars Spirit and Mending. Then place Protective spirit on yourself. For the beginning of this run (until you zone into zone into Grenths Footprint) you will most of the time not use healing breeze. At the beginning you’ll be fine as long as you don’t aggro to many on you. Be aware though that to your left there are groups of Griffins that have stone summit Heretics in them. Be sure not to aggro them if they are close because they do remove enchantments. Run forward (north) using Rush, at the very beginning you’ll be running through one group of griffins and nightmares. The Nightmares knock you down with Signet of Judgement. It is only going to be annoying, not a problem.

The next group will be a group of stone summit. There are Stone Summit Giant Herders in these groups so you will be knocked down a lot. But no worries activate rush and get as far away from them as you can. Eventually they’ll stop knocking you down and stop following you. Keep running north following the cliff wall to your right.

Eventually there will no longer be groups on Stone summit and Griffins. Now there will be groups of griffins and trolls (mostly trolls) they are manly around the cave mouth. If you need energy or adrenaline stop and let them hit you a bit. They do not knock down and usually don’t completely surround you to the point in which you can’t escape them and keep going (the stone summit are more likely to surround you). You will need to use healing breeze if you intend to let them hit you until you have full energy.

Now keep going, you’ll see a cave mouth in front of you. If you’re not careful you can be trapped in that cave. At the mouth of it there will be A troll boss, an Ice Golem, and a few other normal “trolls”. The ice Golem will cast a hex on you that will make you walk. Quickly use Holy Veil to remove it. Then activate Sprint or Rush and keep going. At the other side of the cave there will be more trolls. Make a left. Now if you look careful you’ll see a Nitch in the cliff wall. Run up it and keep going north. You’ll encounter those evil giant things that knock you down a lot. Just keep going and they’ll eventually stop knocking you down. Use Rush or sprint to get away. There will be a cliff wall to your right. Just follow it up to the portal to Grenths Footprint. Now zone through it.

You have now just gotten through the easiest part of this run. At this part of the run there will be a lot of stone summit that remove enchantments. Don’t count on them not removeing your enchantments. So here you have to stack your enchantments and Spellbreaker. The Stone Summit also tend to put a lot of degeneration on you. Enough to completely negate the health regeneration from healing breeze and end you up with 2-health degeneration (even with both healing breeze and mending on you). So whenever you run through the stone summit (or as much as you can) you’ll need Spellbreaker both to keep them from stacking to many degeneration hexs on you and to keep them from removing your enchantments. Now at this point sense you’ll need to have so many enchantments on you you’ll have to use a lot of energy. So you’ll have to stop sometimes and let it comeback.

Now the first thing you do is cast Balthazars Spirit and Mending on yourself. Then wait until you regain a little energy. Now as soon as you have about 40 place Protective Spirit and Healing Breeze on yourself. Then move until you’re just out of their line of sight. Now cast Spellbreaker and run through them using sprint. When sprint runs out use rush. Get away from them as fast as you can. On the other side of them there is a short tunnel. Run through and take a right. You’ll see a group of trolls there. Stop in the middle of them and let them supply you with energy by hitting you. Beware of the Stone Summit nearby in front of you.

As soon as you have a good amount of energy from them and Spellbreaker is recharged place Recast Protective Spirit and then Healing Breeze on your self. You are doing this so they don’t run out in the middle of the next group of Stone Summit. They will anyway and you’ll have to recast them but if you cast them again right before you run into the stone summit you’ll be able to wait longer before recasting them. Now make your way right up close to the Stone Summit without them seeing you. Then cast Spellbreaker (beware the trolls can counter it) then run through the Stone summit (following the cliff wall to your right) using Sprint and then Rush. As soon as Spellbreaker runs out you’ll be about in the middle of them (or past that point), get out of them as fast as you can before they can stack on the Degeneration.

As soon as your away from them wait for your energy to recharge. Then cast Protective spirit and Healing breeze on yourself. In front of you there should be a group of Ice Golems. They have walking hexs so put Spellbreaker on yourself. Run through them and then take the next right. By “your next right” there will be the last group of stone summit. Just run through them and turn to the right. Warcamp will be right in front of you. You will have just completed a run to Warcamp.

Copperhammer Run:

Attributes:
Healing Prayers- 13
Smiting Prayers- 10
Protection Prayers- 13
Divine Favor- 13

Skills:
Healing breeze
Protective spirit
Holy veil
Blessed Signet
Rush
Balthazars Spirit
Mending

Map:
http://img3.freeimagehosting.net/ima...076f56deb3.jpg

How to:
As soon as you exit Warcamp put on your two upkeep enchantments. Then use blessed signet to help you get to maximum energy. Run forward, you will see a fork in the ground in front of you. Take the Right.

Now they can’t recast these hexs on you. Activate Rush and get out of there! They will not knock down you much as you run away because giant stomp is an Aoe skill and your not exactly going to be standing right next to them. They’ll soon stop following you. Now you’ll run into another group of them. Repeat the process and the portal will be almost right in front of you. You’ll think your homeward bound, but be careful. So be sure to recast Healing Breeze when they remove it and keep Protective Spirit from the top of the stack(maybe even wait for spellbreaker to recharge, they are quite annoying)!

Now as soon as you zone through the portal put on all your enchantments and whatnot again. Ask your group to follow you as far as they can. Now turn to your right and start running South east. You and your group will incounter a swarm of ice imps. You'll be able to make it a ways into the but your group will die fast. After they die continue a little farther then die yourself. You will be rezed almost right outside copperhammer. Just run through the remaining 2-3 groups of ice imps and you'll be in!

(note: no afker's on this run or it can't be done)

Conclusion:
Now you should know how to do the three 55hp mountains runs. If you have any ideas on how to improve my strategies please make a post below! The only run of the three that I have a lot of trouble with is the Copperhammer run. If you have any ideas on how to improve that build please tell me!

Thanks

Brother Gilburt

Questions? Ideas? Improvements? Post below! Please tell me what you think of this guide!

Coming updates: I'm am considering makeing a Monk/Ranger build for the three runs above. What are you feelings on this?

Paragraphs are always better than huge chunks of info. Videos would help those who cant comprehend huge chunks of info. Maybe break down each run with a few pictures to help explain things more.

Overall, not bad. I still like cerb's running builds etc. I will however try out rush only sometime.

The 'how to' section of the warcamp run made my eyes bleed o.o

Aside from that, I did read the whole thing, and I must say it is fairly detailed and can be followed with minimal troubles. Of course, the timing will need practice.

Lovely post, but I'll stick with my warrior runner ^_^

ah, and yes, chop it good.

Well, the warcamp part is so long because it was the hardest for me. Took a little work to find out how to do it. Invinca running can be very hard if your not careful! but it is fun I personally loved 55hp farming. I've done it all over tyria!

You might want to wear eye protection when Tsunami Rain is around. Inside that odd little stuffed animal is a beast! hehehe

In the Granite to Copper run I find its better to run to the halfway. The halfway point is around where all the ice imps are and there is a bridge that goes left into where a group of ice golems usually are. So when you die and get rezzed at the shrine right outside of copper you can get everyone to pay you there because there are so many scammers these days

Droks video is up. I had to let it load before I could post the link.

Your build is not bad but I still like to keep sprint with me incase I get in a tough situation. In the long run after you get good at these types of runs its all personal preference.

He he i know. Its easy, all you have to get is start from war camp. Go to the area like you are going to Granite. Once there tell your whole party to follow you as long as they can. Chances are that there will be no spawns until the part where the 2 paths cross. Once your whole party was there. You can just die. Instead of Spawning at Granite, you spawn next to copperhammer
